Tavira is a delightful, historic small town in the eastern Algarve. Which is unspoilt by the heavy commercial tourism found elsewhere on the Algarve. It is considered to be one of the Algarve's most beautiful towns. Narrow, cobbled streets, riverside gardens, old castles, ancient Roman bridge, just make this a romantic town to remember. Eat 'al fresco' in it's many little restaurants, and enjoy open air entertainment on Summer evenings' in the square.
The Algarve has beautiful golden beaches, all boasting the EU blue flag status.

The Algarve has plenty of markets with fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables which are good value.

Monte Rei Golf & country club (25 mins drive) - and is being heralded as "undoubtedly the most exclusive & cosmopolitan development in the Algarve". Monte Rei is set in more than 1000 acres of beautiful countryside between Vila Real de St Antonio and Tavira.
There are many activities to do, places of interest/museums, national park, and day trips to places such as Seville (only a 90 minute drive)
